Friends of UR Libraries: Tour and Talk with Miner Libraries In-Person
Miner Libraries invites the Friends of UR Libraries to visit two of its spaces and learn more about their collections.
You will begin the morning with Robin Lacagnina, Pediatrics & Family Resource Librarian, leading a tour of the Mucci Family Resource Library in Golisano Children's Hospital.
Afterwards, you will be guided to the History of Medicine Section in Edward G. Miner Library. Anna Smith, Head of History of Medicine, will provide a guided tour of the current exhibit, Healing Waters: Women in Water-Cures of 19th Century New York. Additional materials from the Edward C. Atwater American Popular Medicine Collection will be on display for you in the History of Medicine Research Room.
Refreshments will be provided at the end of the History of Medicine tour. See below for information about parking and directions.

Parking and Directions:
Parking validation will be provided for the Strong Memorial Hospital parking garage.
You can enter the garage from Thomas Jackson Drive off Elmwood Avenue or from East Drive between Elmwood Avenue and Crittenden Boulevard (see Visitor Parking Map ).
Once you have parked, please make your way to the Main Lobby of Strong Memorial Hospital on the first floor. Meet by the Silver elevators. A library representative will be there to greet you.
