Cancer at the Systems Level In-Person

This course will discuss cancer genomics and transcriptomics through the lens of The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC) projects, with hands on introduction to various databases and tools that can be used for analysis. Examples include cBioPortal, the Cancer Genome Census, COSMIC, the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia, the Pan-Cancer Analysis of TCGA data and the Connectivity Map.

NOTE: This is a beginner to intermediate level workshop. We will not be learning command-line programming during this session, although workflows that can be accomplished using R or Perl programming will be mentioned.
