Biostats Boot Camp In-Person

Biostats Boot Camp is meant to provide a foundation and/or refresher on basic statistical concepts for anyone working in the Biomedical Sciences. The boot camp will focus on descriptive statistics, including types of data, data representations (tables and several types of graphs), summary measures of data, measures of data dispersion, and basics of probability. We will touch briefly on inferential statistics (one session), such as the t-test, ANOVA, Mann-Whitney test and Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Each session will be conducted in a computer laboratory to facilitate practical application of these concepts using the JMP software package.

NOTE: Each week of this boot camp builds on the previous. Please plan to attend all five sessions of boot camp.
