BIO101: Germs and Immunity In-Person

This workshop will explore some of the basics of microbiology and immunology, including different kinds of germs (bacteria, fugi and viruses) and the ways in which your immune system works to defend you against these invaders.  We will also discuss current issues in microbiology and immunology, such as the rise in antibiotic resistance, food poisoning and the vaccine controversy.

NOTE: This workshop is intended for those with little or no college-level study in biology, or those who wish to refresh their knowledge of basic biology concepts.
